The 1222 is for QCW and high bandwidth application. With improved twisted pair construction, the higher bandwidth of the 1222 cable minimizes signal distortion. The interlock pins (pins 1 and 2) are shorted at the DB-9M (instrument) end, and are not carried through to the fixture end of the cable.
A version of this cable, the 1223 LaserSource Cable, is available which features bare tinned wires on the fixture end.
For low frequency or DC applications, we recommend the 1220 LaserSource Cable.
