The 1223 is for QCW and high bandwidth applications. The mount end of the cable has unterminated tinned wires for connections to custom mounts. With improved twisted pair construction, the higher bandwidth of the 1223 cable minimizes signal distortion. The interlock pins (pins 1 and 2) are shorted at the DB-9M (instrument) end, and are not carried through to the fixture end of the cable.
A version of this cable, the 1222 LaserSource Cable, is available with DB-9 connectors on both ends.
For low frequency or DC applications, we recommend the 1221 LaserSource Cable.
